View > 3D view

Ctrl + 3

The 3D preview makes it easier to spot errors and provides an initial optical impression of the front panel. The view opens in a separate window.

With the buttons in the view window, you can update the 3D view, access various side views, and change the display options. Basically, all production-relevant elements are represented in the 3D preview. Some elements, such as threads and engravings, are depicted in a simplified manner.

Navigation options in the 3D window with mouse and keyboard:

  • Manual rotation

  • Hold down right mouse button and move the mouse or

  • Ctrl + arrow keys

  • Move

  • Hold down scroll wheel and move the mouse or

  • Ctrl + right mouse button or

  • arrow keys

  • Zoom

  • Rotate mouse wheel or

  • Ctrl +/Ctrl -

  • Fixed views

  • Alternate view between front and reverse side: Shift + Z

  • Alternate view between upper and lower end face: Shift + Y

  • Alternate view between right and left end face: Shift + X

  • Home screen: Shift + N

  • Alternate between isometric and perspective view: F7

  • Rotates current view by 90° (counterclockwise): Shift + R
