Z |
The following options are available in zoom mode:
Zoom in on a section of the drawing by dragging open a frame with the mouse (drag the mouse diagonally while holding down the mouse button and then release it).
Zoom in on the drawing by pressing the left (zoom in) or right (zoom out) mouse button.
Zooming with the mouse wheel or keyboard
Regardless of the zoom mode, the current view can be zoomed in or out at any time by rotating the mouse wheel and using the “<” und “>” keys.
Overview
With Ctrl + A or with View > Overview, the entire view of the front panel, including any objects that may be placed outside of it, is fitted into the workspace.
Scrolling/moving the display
Moving the display with the mouse
You can move the currently displayed section of the image with the mouse wheel while preserving the scale:
Up/Down (depending on default setting): mouse wheel or Ctrl + mouse wheel.
Right/Left: Shift + mouse wheel.
Moving the display with the keyboard
You can move the displayed section of the image with the arrow keys.
Outline mode
Menu bar |
Keyboard shortcut |
---|---|
View > Outline mode Edit > Settings > View tab > Outline mode |
Ctrl + D |
You can use this option to switch between the normal “target view” of the objects and the “actual view” of the outline mode. In this view – in particular for the DXF free contours – the outlines that would result from the respective tool selection are displayed.
Show reference points on/off
Menu bar |
Keyboard shortcut |
---|---|
View > Reference points on/off Edit > Settings > View tab > Reference points on/off |
U |
You can use this option to toggle the display of the reference points on or off.
Show grid on/off
Menu bar |
Keyboard shortcut |
---|---|
View > Show grid on/off Edit > Settings > View tab > Show grid on/off |
Ctrl + G |
You can use this option to toggle the display of the grid on or off.
Note: The display of the grid – its visibility or invisibility – has no effect on the option of whether objects are aligned with their grid points or not while being placed or moved. In addition, the appropriate options must be set irrespective of the display of the grid via Edit > Settings > “View” tab.
Halving/doubling the grid base
Menu bar |
Keyboard shortcut |
---|---|
View > Halve/double the grid base Edit > Settings > View tab > Halve/double grid base |
Ctrl + 0 or Ctrl + 2 |
You can use “Minimum grid base” (in Edit > Settings > “View” tab) to prevent your view of large and small base panels defined as visible from being “obstructed” by a fully displayed grid (0 pixels = no limit). The geometry of the grid itself or its “snap properties” remain unaffected by this setting.
Show crosshair on/off
Use this option to choose whether the cursor appears with or without a crosshair extending across the workspace
Edit > Settings > “View” tab > Crosshairs
