A cavity is a recess (pocket) that is plane-parallel to the front panel’s surface. It can be introduced into both the front and the reverse side.

Surface shape |
Possible shapes: rectangle, circle, as well as cavities with a recessed inner area. If you need complex cavities with other contours, you can design and create them yourself using DXF free contours. For information on how to do this, refer to the Free contour section. |

Check the box next to this option if the cavity is to be made on the reverse side. |

Diameter of the circular cavity |

Width of the rectangular cavity |
Height |

Corner radius of the rectangular cavity |
Rotation angle |
Rotation angle of the rectangular cavity |
Tool |
The 3 mm cutter is set by default. If the box next to Automatic selection is checked, the tool will adjust as soon as a smaller corner radius is entered. |
Cut after surface finishing |
Only for powder-coated panels. Check the box next to this option if the drill hole is to be made after powder-coating. Additional information. |
Do not produce element |
Check the box next to this option if the element is not to be machined but rather placed on the front panel for information purposes only. |
Edge machining |
Possibility to provide the edge of the cavity with a bevel or rounding. Do not machine inner contours of cavities: This option is available for cavities with inner areas. When the box next to this option is checked, the set edge machining of the cavity is not applied to the inner area. |
Inner area |
Diameter or width and height of the non-cavitated inner area. With Offset the inner area can be moved within the cavity. |
